Super Saiyan 3 is the most powerful form of Super Saiyan (in the normal progression, that is). One who becomes Super Saiyan 3 gains tremendous power (though the increase between Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3 is less than the increase between Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2).

The only non-fused Saiyan to become Super Saiyan 3 is Goku, who achieves the stage during his training in the Other World after his second death. The form is also used by the fusion Gotenks as well.

A form equivalent to this is also achieved by Baby in Vegeta's body.
