Biography
Baby (ベビー Bebī) was the last known survivor of the Tsufuru race that were destroyed long ago at the hands of the Saiyans. Though related to that species, he was actually a weak cybernetic parasite that was created by genetic engineering whereby his DNA was melded with that of the king of the Tsufurus. As a result, he was effectively a clone of the king and a hybrid of his creators. He was created as part of a plot to get revenge against the Saiyans by becoming the most powerful being possible whereupon he would destroy every trace of the Saiyans. During his development, Baby created an android scientist by the name of Dr. Myuu to care for him as he slumbered. In time, Myuu came to believe that he had created Baby and the doctor was responsible for gathering energy for the parasite along with aid in his development. The actions of Dr. Myuu eventually brought him into conflict with Son Goku, Trunks and Pan who were present as Baby was reawakened. Despite his awakening, the three humans managed to easily defeat the parasite with their Saiyan powers. Though defeated, Baby managed to escape whereby he began to take energy from those he infected and added it to himself. This was in an effort to boost his power levels and make himself strong enough to battle the Saiyans. He battled the Saiyans again on another world in deep space where he temporarily infected Trunks but was driven away from his host body. After being defeated again, he decided to make his way to Earth where he initially battled Son Goten who he infected. In Goten's body, he later challenged Son Gohan who he also infected and made his host body which he used to confront Vegeta. Similar to the others, Vegeta was infected and became Baby's primary host as he deemed him the strongest fighter on the planet. Afterwards, Baby began to infect the entire planet that he brought under his control with everyone on Earth willingly serving their new master. This was the state of the world when Son Goku along with Trunks and Pan returned to Earth. Trunks himself was controlled by a mind controlling egg that Baby had left inside of him during his temporary possession of his body during the confrontation at Capsule Corp. As a result, Baby-Vegeta only had Son Goku as his only opponent where he battled the Super Saiyan 3 form of his foe which he managed to defeat with ease once Goku's transformation wore off.
After seemingly killing Goku, Baby-Vegeta went forward to take the Black Star Dragon Balls whereupon he summoned the dragon to wish for the planet Tuffle to be restored. As a result, Planet Plant was returned and was near Earth's orbit whereupon Baby had the entire population of Earth moved to his new world. At this point, Baby had molded Vegeta's body to become the most powerful being known and had his host form transformed to resemble his own. Despite Goku's earlier defeat, he managed to return and came to Planet Plant in order to battle Baby-Vegeta but was once he was defeated. A battered and broken Goku then gazed upon the Earth that now served as Tuffle's moon with this triggering a primal reaction in his Saiyan form. A result of this led to Goku being transformed into his Oozaru form that was even more powerful with this being known s the Golden Oozaru. In this form, he lost his senses and went on a wild rampage destroying everything on Planet Plant until his granddaughter Pan managed to help him regain his true self. As a result, Goku went through a new transformation whereupon he left the Oozaru form to shrink back into an adult body that was a new transformation known as Super Saiyan 4.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Baby was a humanoid entity though with inhuman features as his form was coated in a dark substance. Initially, he was small in size around the height of a toddler but this changed as he grew to adulthood. When matured, he resembled a blue-skinned teenager with newly formed facial markings and a standard outfit. Elements of his appearance were incorporated into his host bodies that he managed to take over.
He was single-minded in seeking the revival of the Tuffle race and exterminating the Saiyans. Though claiming the Tuffles were barbaric, Baby was shown to enjoy battle and fighting against his foes. After becoming the Golden Great Ape, he pretended to be in a mindless rampage where he massacred many of his followers simply to test his new powers.
Baby was noted for being incredibly childish and immature. This was seen by him being prone to taunting his foes and entering into a rage if he was teased.
Powers and abilities
Baby was an artificial engineered entity that demonstrated the power to manipulate his chi and had a number of martial art skills. Though above human in power, his basic form was actually quite limited in its power and Baby required a host body in in order to unlock his full potential. To accomplish this, he had the ability liquefy himself where in this state he could enter into a victim's body so long as there was a cut or wound that allowed entry. By possessing hosts, even non-powered ones he was able to sap their energy in order to further empower himself and grow to a more advanced body. However, the power he stole from host bodies varied depending on their power levels with stronger hosts giving greater energy for Baby.
After possessing a host, Baby adds their power to his own. He can either choose to leave an egg in the victim after leaving them (removed in the Funimation dub, and replaced with Baby leaving part of himself in the victim's brain), or suck them dry completely. He also gains the ability to assimilate all the attacks of those who he has possessed (all changed to his signature pink color), as well as developing new versions of his host's attacks (i.e., the Super Galick Gun). He can also emit a bright light from his eyes, similar to Tenshinhan's taikyoken. When he possessed Vegeta he was able to alter his body structure to the point where he was able to take an attack from a fully powered Super Saiyan 3 Goku without taking severe damage, if at all. During the fight with Vegeta, Baby (in Gohan's body) and the egg-controlled Goten trapped Vegeta in a ball created by the two flying around him at high speeds. While in this ball, he seemed able to create ghost-like images of Gohan and Goten, both speaking with his voice.
