Quinjets are a type of aircraft that features in Marvel Comics.

History

Stark had designed a new Quinjet with three being constructed for beta testing when the Avengers had broken up. (New Avengers v1 #4)

With the formation of the New Avengers, Stark had the team use his newly designed Quinjet models in their assignment to capture Karl Lykos who had escaped the Raft for the Savage Land. Upon arriving, they managed to evade several attacks and land after which the jet was destroyed leaving the New Avengers stranded in the Antarctic region. (New Avengers v1 #4)

  • Quinjets were created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema where they made their first appearance in Avengers v1 #61 (February, 1969).

  • In The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the Quinjet made a number of appearances in the animated series. In "Operation: Galactic Storm", Mahr Vehl modified the Quinjets to be able to travel to the sun in order for the Avengers to battle the Kree.
