The Cosmic Key is a device that features in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
History
The Cosmic Key was created by the Thenurian Gwildor who managed to construct a machine capable of transporting people across space and time. This mechanical device and prototype were kept at their inventors home on Eternia when Gwildor was tricked by Evil-Lynn into giving up the machine. This allowed Skeletor's forces to bypass the defenses of Castle Grayskull and take control of it with his vast army. With the Cosmic Key in his possession, Skeletor planned to conquer all of creation.
However, Gwildor used the prototype version of the machine to aid the Masters of the Universe in infiltrating the castle and escaping with the device. Landing on Earth, they attempted to find their way home while stopping Skeletor from taking the Key,
