For other uses of this name, see Transwarp (disambiguation).

Transwarp was a theoretical propulsion method aimed at exceeding the speeds of standard warp drive. The U.S.S. Excelsior was built with an experimental transwarp drive, but the project was a failure and the Excelsior was retrofitted with standard warp. The rogue Borg led by Lore used transwarp conduits, indicating they succeeded in making transwarp (in some form or another) workable.
