History
Durla was a planet located in Space Sector 700 where centuries ago it was said to be a lush world covered with life. (Green Lantern Corps v3 #30)
After the Six Minutes War, there were no buildings left on Durla that became a flat world with some seeing being high up on large skyscrapers being unnatural as a result. (Teen Titans v5 #9)
Overview
Locations on Durla included:
- Bridge of Passage : a place where the tribes engaged in ritualistic battles to the death. (Legion of Super-Heroes v4 #8)
Within the infoceans of the planet resided a species of telepathic octopuses who attacked telepathically and physically with martial arts. This species were noted to had developed a martial art based on their abilities. (DC One Million v1 #1) Another creature was the Nagada-Uhl that were similar to Earth jellyfish but interfaced with their preys pain and fed off the electrical impulses of all the nerves firing at once. The experience was described as being similar to being on fire but not as pleasant. (Mighty Crusaders v3 #3)

- Durla was created by Jerry Siegel and Jim Mooney where it made its first appearance in Action Comics v1 #267 (August, 1960).
In other media
Television
- In Legion of Super Heroes, the planet Durla was mentioned in the animated television series in the episode "Who Am I?". Its position as the hub for its sector of space made it a target of Imperiex during his bid to rule the universe. He attempted to invade the planet with a Supermissile but the Legion of Super Heroes prevented it.
- In Supergirl, the planet Durla was mentioned in the live-action television series in the episode "Resist". 'Olivia Marsdin' was an inhabitant of that world who were visited by another species who conquered their world leading to her being forced to flee her home planet. She later arrived on Earth and used her shapeshifting to make herself appear as a human where she eventually rose to become President of the United States of America.
