Sorium

Sorium was an highly powerful and unstable substance that featured in The Challenge of the GoBots.

Background

Braxis made use of Sorium to power his Pulsar Generator which the Renegades used to mind control the inhabitants of the planet Earth. However, after Cy-Kills defeat at the hand of the Guardians, he made a retreat but not before damaging the generator as well as the Sorium causing it to go unstable. His plan was to allow the compound to destabilize and crack the planet Earth in half.

Instead, Leader One used a transporter beam to transport the Sorium in the midst of Cy-Kills robot fleet which was heading towards GoBotron in an attempt to conquer it. Once transported, the Sorium destabilized and destroyed the fleet as well as sent Cy-Kills ship of course.
