- The Star Brand was created by Jim Shooter and John Romita Jnr. where it made its first appearance in Star Brand v1 #1 (October, 1986).
- In the Amalgam Universe, the Star Brand was merged with the Green Lantern Corps to make the Starbrand Corps.
