Biography
Original Timeline
He was noted for having been a member of the Black Dragon clan until he left their ranks.
It was believed he was a survivor of an attack by Shao Kahn's extermination squads.
Eventually, he was tracked down by the Red Dragon clan where he was defeated by their leader Mavado. He came to leave Kabal for dead and took his hookswords as trophies where he was dying slowly until a stranger found him. This man was Havik who was a Cleric of Chaos who saved Kabal's life and convinced him to restore the Black Dragon clan to their former glory. Inspired by Havik, he went out to find and kill Mavado where he managed to track down the Red Dragon organization as well as reclaim his swords. He then went about recruiting young and skillful warriors to fill up the ranks of a new Black Dragon.

Personality and attributes
He came to be viciously scarred after surviving Shao Kahn's invasion and was kept alive by artificial respirators.
Originally, he had been a member of the Black Dragon but came to leave their ranks when he looked to change his ways. In that time, he wanted nothing to do with that despicable organization but he could never manage to escape his past ties to it. After being resurrected, he came to be convinced to become the new leader of the Black Dragon and return the clan to its glory days. Thus, he re-devoted himself to them and went about filling its ranks of warriors of his choosing where he intended to weed out the week from the strong.
Powers and abilities
Kabal was noted to had been a human of Earthrealm who became a chosen warrior. As a result of injuries, he had an artificial respirator was keeping him alive.
In combat, he was noted for his use of a pair of hookswords that he wielded with considerable skill.
