Biography

Cooler in Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge.

Cooler (Japanese: クウラ, Hepburn: Kūra, lit. "Coola") was an extraterrestrial humanoid who was the son of King Cold and the older brother of Frieza. When Frieza blew up Planet Vegeta, Cooler, in his fourth form, was watching from his ship.

As Frieza let a pod carrying Goku escape, Cooler also lets him go, proclaiming that he's no threat. Cooler also thinks Frieza is foolish for being so clumsy. Many years later Cooler hears of Frieza's death from his henchmen Sauza, Neizu and Doore and set out to Earth, not to avenge his brother, but to kill the one who disgraced his family. Cooler arrived on Earth and wounded Goku with his Death Beam, setting his henchmen to find the injured Saiyan while he presumably relaxed on his ship.

Later, Cooler saved Sauza from Piccolo and effortlessly defeated him, later blowing him away in front of a revived Goku. Goku attacked in a rage and Cooler was apparently outclassed. Cooler transformed into a fifth form that his brother could not reach, and tore into Goku, beating him up and defeating him easily- even withstanding the Kamehameha Wave. Upon seeing the pain Cooler caused, Goku went Super Saiyan with rage and effortlessly defeated Cooler. Enraged, Cooler launched a Death Ball at the Saiyan and came close to killing him, only to find Goku blasting the attack back at him with a Kamehameha. Cooler was blasted into the sun and was believed destroyed.

However, he survived, merging with the Big Ghetti Star and returning to attack New Namek. He created a robotic duplicate of his fourth form, Metal Cooler, to lead the assault. Heavily armored, more powerful than ever before, Metal Cooler's biggest advantage was that his body was monitored constantly by the Big Ghetti Star's main computer, so any injury he suffered was instantly detected and repaired. Any flaws that allowed the injury were also corrected.

Super Saiyan Goku was no match for Metal Cooler, and neither was Super Saiyan Vegeta, as Metal Cooler also knew the Instant Transmission technique like Goku. By combining their powers, the two destroyed Metal Cooler, only to find 1000 more ready to attack. Goku and Vegeta were captured and brought to the Big Ghetti Star, where Cooler revealed his true self- part of his face and his brain linked to the main computer, that was all that remained of him. Goku went Super Saiyan and with the last of his power, put an end to Cooler.

Cooler was the son of King Cold and was the older brother of Frieza.

In fact, he believed that Frieza deserved to die if he got beat by the likes of weak Saiyans.
