Covenant of Primus

The Covenant of Primus was an ancient Cybertronian work of history and prophecy, rather similar to the Earth's Bible. Only two copies were known to exist- one on the Ark, and the other somewhere on Cybertron (Seibertron), until it was brought to prehistoric Earth by Megatron.

The Covenant contains records of Transformer history up to at least the rise of the original Megatron, but not more currently than up to the time that the Ark left the Transformer homeworld. It also contained prophecies of the future, including many regarding the Beast Wars. The Predacon (Destron) Megatron was familiar with the work (all the "good parts," anyway), and took his name from the Covenant's tales of the original Megatron.

The Ark's copy was presumably left there after the Beast Wars, but Megatron's copy's fate was unrevealed.
