Biography

Alexander Corvinus was a Hungarian nobleman who lived centuries ago where he operated as a warlord. At some point, he lived to see his home village ravaged by a plague leaving him the only survivor. This incident, however, imparted on him a rare genetic mutation that allowed him to adapt to the virus and turned him into an Immortal. Alexander's body would thus hold the Corvinus Strain that he would pass onto his children that included both Marcus Corvinus and his twin brother William Corvinus. During their life, the two Corvinus children would be out in the wild where William was attacked by a wolf that bit him. The bite led to a transformation within him as the Corvinus Strain turned William into the first Lycan but left him bereft of his mind and in an animalistic berserker state. William's brother Marcus would similarly be bitten by a bat that transformed him into the first Vampire. Despite Alexander's attempts at restraining him, William would manage to escape and attack other humans where his bite infected them with the virulent lycanthropy virus turning them into Lycans like himself that terrorized the lands. To combat this threat, Marcus would seek to establish a military force of his own and made a bargain with the Hungarian warlord Viktor turning him as well as his army into Vampires to battle the Lycans and track William Corvinus. As a result, a war was waged by Lycans and Vampires with Alexander Corvinus seeking instead to contain the conflict from affecting mortal humans. He would keep himself detached from their affairs whilst cleaning up the bodies sired by his two children thus keeping their existence a secret from mankind. In [[1202] A.D., William Corvinus was tracked down by Viktor with Marcus begging for his life leading to the elder werewolf being locked away in a hidden prison. As a result, Marcus would blame his father Alexander for not preventing William from suffering from such a fate.

Alexander's second Immortal son, Marcus, was later bitten by a bat, becoming the first Vampire. Seeking to eliminate the threat posed by his twin brother's offspring and bring William back to his side, Marcus sought out a dying warlord named Viktor and made a bargain with him; immortality in exchange for Viktor's military genius. During this time, Alexander established a military force of his own, in his own attempt to quell William's plague. While the Vampire Elders waged their campaign to capture and contain William, Alexander chose instead to focus on keeping the war contained from spilling into the mortal realm. Disdaining direct involvement in the conflict himself, his organization of human warriors were dispatched to clean up any Vampire or Werewolf/Lycan bodies left behind after the battles, in order to conceal their existence from the normal human population. When William was captured by the Vampires in 1202 AD and locked away by Viktor, Marcus partially blamed Alexander, reasoning that his father had done nothing to help save William. Sometime, Corvinus had some dealings with Andreas Tanis, an exiled vampire. However, the nature of these dealings is unknown, and also if Tanis knew his real identity: Andreas had meet him face-to-face sometime, but knew Alexander as Lorenz Macaro.

The individual known as Subject Two, also known as Eve, was noted for being the latest descendant of Alexander Corvinus.

Overview

Personality and attributes

Alexander was a tired, and world weary old man. He was shown to be kind towards Michael and his Cleaners, but he seems outwardly cold to his Immortal sons and Selene, who he holds in low esteem due to her centuries as a Vampire warrior taking part in racial genocide against the Lycans, maybe specially because she blamed them for her family's slaughter-a crime they had not committed.

He exhibits an admirable dedication to hiding the existence of Immortals from humans, believing that the world belongs to mankind, not the Immortals. Alexander shows some paternal feelings towards William and Marcus, due to his reluctance to kill his own sons, despite the fact that they had become monsters. Despite this, he's too hypocrite by allowing William to remain imprisoned, acknowledging the devastation his bestial son would wreak if freed.

Powers and abilities

As a result of his great age, Alexander possesses extraordinary mental strength and discipline, being able to listen to multiple news broadcasts at once, and being able to differentiate between all of them, and understand them regardless of language.

Being a biological Immortal, thanks to his body strain, Alexander was immune to aging and disease, being the only survivor of the plague in his village, and his life had lasted for thousands of years, having had more 1,700 years old, and he could have lived for eternity if his son Marcus had not killed him.
