Biography
William Corvinus was the son of the warlord Alexander Corvinus and the twin brother of Marcus Corvinus who all lived centuries ago. Their father was the survivor of a plague that killed everyone in his village except for himself as his body had developed an immunity. This response led to the creation of the Corvinus Strain that turned Alexander Corvinus into an immortal with his children sharing this trait. The two Corvinus brothers during a journey were attacked by a wolf with William being bitten by the beast. This act created a mutation within his body that transformed him into the first Lycan. William's metamorphosis robbed him of his intelligence and humanity as he was forever trapped in his beastial form where he operated on pure berserker animalistic instinct. His brother Marcus would be similarly bitten by a bat turning him into the first Vampire. In his werewolf form, William escaped and began to ravage the landscape where he would spread his brand of infectious lycanthropy through a bite. Those bitten by William Corvinus were similarly inflicted with his condition by the virus and turned into berserker Lycans that would similarly attack everything in their path. His father Alexander would fail in stopping him and his twin Marcus would seek to establish a force to counter his brothers army of Lycans. As a result, Marcus turned the Hungarian warlord Viktor and his army into an army known as the Death Dealers that would engage in a campaign of tracking down William. In 1202 A.D., he would ravage an isolated village with its human inhabitants being in the midst of turning into Lycans when the Vampire army arrived in pursuit of William Corvinus. As a result, they would be ambushed by the newly transformed Lycans but despite casualties they managed to track down William where the Vampire Elder Amelia managed to chain him. Viktor was prepared to slay the werewolf but Marcus begged for his life and claimed that he would kill himself if his brother was slain with the act killing all the Vampires of his bloodline. Unknown to Viktor, this was a lie designed to spare William's life but the head of the Death Dealers decided to imprison the Lycan at a hidden location thus ensuring Marcus's loyalty. He would be sealed within a coffin and his tomb built under Viktors care who hid the keys to the chamber with one being in his own ribcage.
This caused Markus to swear vengeance against Viktor and those loyal to him. Centuries later, William was freed from his dungeon by Markus. Markus and William both shared a bond that Alexander never truly saw. It was this remaining bond that caused William to recognize Markus, even through his own bestial nature. William proved to be a powerful creature, despite his centuries of confinement with no food to feed on. He infected the Cleaners who came to fight him and also combated the hybrid Michael Corvin, descendant of his mortal brother, absorbing immense amounts of damage with no obvious signs of trauma done to him. He was unable to defeat Michael, who tore apart the Lycan Elder's head with his bare hands.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In his werewolf form, William resembled a typical Lycan except he was much larger and had white fur instead of black with his eyes being white.
After becoming the Lycan Elder, his mind came to be lost to him as he turned into a feral monster driven only by his instincts.
Powers and abilities
William Corvinus came to inherit the Corvinus Strain from his father that was a trait that could make one an immortal. During his youth, he came to be bitten by a wolf resulting in the gene mutating and turning him into the first werewolf. This saw his transformation into a bipedal Lycan gaining a number of traits including greater strength, endurance and reflexes as well as a healing factor. William could either stand upright or travel on all fours thus increasing his ability to travel over distances. He also possessed sharp claws that he could either use to aid him in climbing or as weapons where he could slash his prey. As a Lycan, William had the lycanthropic version of the Corvinus Strain that turned anyone he bite into a fellow Lycan. However, like their progenitor, these Lycans were bereft of intelligence and trapped in their animal state.
