Genesis Planet

The Genesis Planet was an unstable planet formed from the Mutara Nebula by the Genesis Device. The planet and its native species underwent a complete life-cycle within a few months, and was the site of battle between Klingons (led by Commander Kruge) who wanted Genesis' secrets and the rogue crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise. Spock, whose "funeral barge" (of sorts) landed on Genesis, was resurrected and aged to maturity as the planet grew and died. The survivors of both crews narrowly escaped the planet's destruction.
