Io is one of the moons of Jupiter. It was named after a figure from Greek myth.

Io is populated by a species of mechanical bats capable of transforming into missiles. Blurr and Wheelie were marooned here when they were attacked by Galvatron en route to Autobot City (Cybertron City) in 2006 (2010). The Decepticon (Destron) leader sent the Predacons to dispatch the Autobots (Cybertrons), but they were saved by Marissa Faireborn and Sky Lynx.
