History

Origin

Miraclo was a chemical that was able to enhance its users physical traits and was developed by Rex Tyler who used it to become the superhero known as Hourman. (Adventure Comics v1 #48) After creating it, Rex Tyler claimed to had destroyed all notes about his creation as he did not want it to be exploited by the company with him memorising the formula. However, despite his efforts, some of his early work had somehow survived where it was discovered by a Bannerman Pharmaceutical scientist who studied it. It became the basis of a new drug called Venom that was used in the army's pharmacological super-soldier program that came to be employed at Santa Prisca where among those exposed to this variant was the man that came to be known as Bane. (JSA Classified v1 #17)

Post-Flashpoint

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

After the discovery of the Miraclo Formula, the Hour-Man Program was established that conferred powers to the user but it was only for an hour. An extension of this project was the Damage Program that transformed the user into a hulking powerful beast for a single hour over a 24-hour period. (Damage v2 #5)
