Guardians (Challenge of the GoBots)

The Guardians are an organization that features in Challenge of the GoBots.

History

The Guardians were one faction of GoBots that formed on the planet GoBotron and served as the dominant force on the world. They were opposed by the Renegades that were led by Cy-Kill. Renegade forces led by Cy-Kill alongside Cop-Tur and Crasher attacked a facility on GoBotron to steal the Astrobeam. This was because Cy-Kill intended to shift Renegade operations from their homeworld to Earth where they had been in contact with a human known as Dr. Braxis who intended to aid them. Overview

A Guardian's duty was the defence of GoBotron regardless of the odds. (Episode: Renegade Alliance)

Its leadership was the Guardian Council that managed and administered their operations. (Episode: Battle for GoBotron)

Junior GoBots that joined their ranks had to go through training and studied at the Academy where they were tested to determine their suitability. This included mock team exercises and being deployed in a firing range where they earned points with negative marks leading to possible failure as well as expulsion. At this point, trainee Guardians lacked a vehicle mode but during their graduation they went through the final Modifier ceremony where they gained that form. (Episode: Guardian Academy)
