Creation
The Corps formed an alliance with numerous other organizations with the intention of destroying the Green Lantern Corps. This included the Children of the White Lobe and the Manhunters.

Overview
The Sinestro Corps was similar to the Green Lantern Corps but instead of using willpower as their focus of their energy, they made use of fear.
The oath of the Sinestro Corps was:
- "In blackest day, in brightest night,"
- "Beware your fears made into light"
- "Let those who try to stop what's right,"
- "Burn like my power... Sinestro's might!"
