History
Stark had designed a new Quinjet with three being constructed for beta testing when the Avengers had broken up. (New Avengers v1 #4)
With the formation of the New Avengers, Stark had the team use his newly designed Quinjet models in their assignment to capture Karl Lykos who had escaped the Raft for the Savage Land. Upon arriving, they managed to evade several attacks and land after which the jet was destroyed leaving the New Avengers stranded in the Antarctic region. (New Avengers v1 #4)
After officially quitting the Avengers, Carol took one of the Quinjets without permission and joined up with the fugitive New Avengers that were on the run from Norman Osborn. She kept it at the hanger situated in Captain America's old headquarters that was hidden. (New Avengers v1 #52) The New Avengers used the jet to get to New Orleans to stop the Hood from claiming the Eye of Agamotto with the plane being shot down by Madame Masque's rocket launcher. (New Avengers v1 #53)
Overview
Later designs were outfitted with 2 X 2 symmetrically-mounted modified Pratt & Whitney J48-P-8A turbojet engines. (New Avengers v1 #5)
A newer model had voice commands allowing a user to access the communication system by calling out 'Phone' and the number of a person. (New Avengers v1 #4)
Notes
- Quinjets were created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema where they made their first appearance in Avengers v1 #61 (February, 1969).

Television
- In The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the Quinjet made a number of appearances in the animated series. In "Operation: Galactic Storm", Mahr Vehl modified the Quinjets to be able to travel to the sun in order for the Avengers to battle the Kree.

Video games
- In Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, the Quinjets appeared in the setting of the Wii video game. The Winter Soldier used one to escape A.I.M. after he stole the Soul Stone from them but his jet was shot down in Wakanda though he managed to escape.
