Biography

Sheva Alomar was a female human born in the modern age where she grew up in an impoverished family who lived in a small factory town in Africa. The town was home to Umbrella Plant 57 that was the lifeblood of the settlement where it brought in much needed revenue and served as a steady source of employment for the people. Around 80% of the adult population was employed at the town's factory in some of its facilities with Sheva's parents being among them. Despite low pay by most nation's standards, the income given to the Alomar's allowed them to maintain their lives and give Sheva a happy childhood. This all changed when Sheva was 8 years old when an incident occurred at the plant which unknown to anyone had been the result of a containment failure. In response, Umbrella used its influence to call in aid from the army whilst their own anti-B.O.W. soldiers arrived the factory to destroy any bio-weapons and eliminate any witnesses. A result of this was Sheva' parents being killed and the true nature behind the incident being hidden from the public. It was then that Sheva's uncle arrived where he took anything of value from the house and despite him taking in a blood relative he had done so with the aid of receiving financial compensation from the factory. He took his niece to live with his family thus causing her to leave the only home she had ever known. Her uncle's family was extremely poor and had seven children of his own to support with his intention that the financial compensation would ease their lives. However, no compensation was ever awarded with Umbrella refusing to give out any payments. As a result, Sheva's uncle and aunt were unable to provide or even feed her leading to the child being on the verge of starvation. Sheva had a deep desire to see her parents again and in her grief she became convinced that they were still alive. This eventually developed into an obsession with her deciding to seek them out causing her to run away from her uncle's house in order to return to her home town. Despite being so young and small, she went on her journey but on the second night she began to suffer from the effects of malnutrition where being unable to find food led to her collapsing in the savanna. It was then that a truck came upon her with the stranger stepping out of the vehicle to help her. He took her in the truck and provided her food and shelter where Sheva learnt that he was an anti-government guerrilla fighter. The stranger had provided a home to her and through him she came to learn that the 'accident' at the Umbrella factory was a cover-up. Alomar discovered that the plant was actually creating bio-weapons with its employees largely being unaware of the experiments with the company testing their B.O.W.s there leading to Umbrella terminating everyone to hide their activities. She also came to learn that the government deployed the army to destroy the entire town to remove its existence from any map as part of the Umbrella conspiracy. Sheva then decided to fight the government and became a guerrilla fighter.

Initially, she helped in more menial tasks such as doing the laundry and cooking meals but after only a few years she was given her first gun. In this time, her main duty among the guerrilla fighters was to travel into town and gather supplies for the group. She worked in this role for the next seven years which took her into her teenage years where at which point she had spent most of her life as a guerrilla. It was believed that her age at the time led to many townspeople not suspecting her ties to the group and may have been the reason she was assigned this task. On one such occasion, she was approached by a man who spoke in a foreign accent who gave her a paper and asked her to meet him at the church. On the paper were the words 'Umbrella' that was the same pharmaceutical company that was responsible for the death of her parents. On the paper were details that said that the guerrilla fighter group had plans to use bio-weapons in a large-scale terrorist attack as part of their efforts to overthrow the government. The supplier for the bio-weapons was believed to be Umbrella with the man giving Sheva this information asking for her aid in stopping the deal. Initially, Alomar thought this was a government trap but came to believe the man's words and trusted him. She ultimately decided to go to the church where she met the man and his colleague of his who wanted Sheva's help in the arrest of an Umbrella official which would bring an irreparable blow to the corporation. Alomar was at first reluctant at the thought of betraying her fellow guerrilla fighters but the 15 year old was convinced to help as she wanted Umbrella to be punished for what they did to her family. Three days later, a special forces team arrived in the location where Sheva left the doors unlocked in the building and had a wire on to record the deal being brokered between the fighters and Umbrella. Ultimately, the operation was a success and the Umbrella official was apprehended with him taken away into custody. In the aftermath, Sheva and the guerrillas were taken to the American Consulate where they were released after two days with no charges pressed against them as per the promise made to Alomar. The man who approached her in the church then offered Sheva a chance to start a new life in America where she decided to take him up on his offer as she had nothing to keep her in Africa.

Upon arriving in America, the man in the suit from the church came to become her legal guardian where it was quickly learnt that Sheva had high intelligence and a drive that made her a valuable asset. She came to surpass any expectations of her with her learning English to a native level in a span of six months. After she two years, she was enrolled at university and came to graduate with high honours whereupon her legal guardian suggested she join the newly formed Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance as she could help others. This led to her joining the organisation where she completed basic training and being assigned to a unit that was led by Josh Stone. For the next eight months, she continued her training and learnt everything she needed in order to survive in the field. With her training complete, she was handpicked to become a BSAA agent and was involved in operations around the world. She came to be dispatched to Kijuju in West Africa in order to assist Chris Redfield and to keep the natives from becoming hostile over the presence of an American. The two were sent to assist the members of the BSAA Alpha Team who were assigned to find and apprehend a bio-weapons dealer named Ricardo Irving. Their contact supplied them weapons and gear along with informing them about a mysterious doomsday project known as Uroboros. The Kijuju region in this time was turbulent with their contact being captured by locals with a masked man using a massive axe to execute him. Alomar and Redfield rendezvoused with Alpha Team's location to intercept the weapon's deal but discovered the BSAA operatives being killed by an unknown B.O.W. Irving had set up the creature in order to eliminate the BSAA agents thus leaving only Sheva and Chris as the only two operatives in the area. They tracked the weapons dealer down but Irving fled with the aid of a mysterious cloaked woman. From files left behind, Redfield came to learn that the cloaked woman was actually his old partner Jill Valentine who was believed to had been killed on a mission sometime ago. Alomar and Redfield eliminated two bio-weapons with Sheva suggesting that the two retreat due to being how badly outnumbered they were on the mission. However, Redfield intended to recover Valentine who had disappeared during their mission to arrest Ozwell E. Spencer with Sheva agreeing to help him rescue her. This saw them trailing Irving through the sewers and an oil refinery where they rendezvoused with Sheva's friend and mentor Josh Stone. Together, they confronted Irving on his ship where the weapons dealer injected himself with a Las Plagas parasite that transformed him into a monstrous form. The two agents had to battle him where they succeeded in killing him whereupon the two continued on their mission to find Jill Valentine.

The pair make their way to an abandoned underground laboratory formerly used by the Umbrella Corporation. Eventually they discover a large room filled with human bodies contained in pods. Redfield used the computer to locate the pod where Valentine would be stored. When they discover the pod Valentine was in to be empty, they were threatened by Excella Gionne via video screen. Alomar recognized Gionne as the head of the TRICELL Inc.'s African division, and is outraged to discover that Gionne and TRICELL are part of the horrible experiments performed at this facility. Alomar also realizes that Gionne lied about not knowing where Valentine was. The two track Gionne from the facility to underground ruins, though she eventually escapes with the help of the mysterious cloaked woman, whom Albert Wesker reveals to be none other than Valentine. Together, Redfield and Alomar are able to remove the mechanism controlling Valentine. After, she reveals Wesker's plan to spread Uroboros worldwide, and pleads Redfield to stop Wesker. Alomar and Redfield follow Gionne and Wesker to a large ship, where they corner Gionne. Gionne escapes, but not before drops one of her briefcases full of vials. Alomar picks up one of them and takes it with her. Eventually, the two reach a pile of corpses and a weakened Gionne. Wesker injected Gionne with the Uroboros virus, which eventually rejects her as a host and creates the monstrosity known as Uroboros Aheri. After disposing of the mutated Gionne, the two BSAA operators set out after Wesker. On the way, Valentine contacts Redfield to explain the source of Wesker's strength; an unstable virus. Valentine explains that an overdose of the virus would possibly kill Wesker. Alomar realizes that the vial she picked up from Gionne's briefcase, namely PG67A/W is the virus.

Overview

Personality and attributes

Upon learning the truth about her parents, she came to be filled with hatred of the Umbrella Corporation for their part in their deaths. Similarly, she was also filled with rage at the government for allowing the company to achieve their goals. She believed that had the accident never happened then perhaps her life would have been different. Her hatred of Umbrella was maintained even after the corporation was dismantled with her extending it to any group that operated like the company.

It was said that Sheva did not like to talk about her time working with guerrilla fighters. The reasons were not known with speculations ranging from the memories being too painful to her being ashamed of her actions in that time. She had served with them for a number of years and was initially reluctant to turn on them as they had been akin to family for her. However, she was convinced to turn against them as she saw that their single-minded desire to topple the government meant that they would consider any means including the use of B.O.W.s. Thus, she realised that the guerrillas were not doing anything out of any sense of good.

Sheva was shown to be extremely loyal to her fellow BSAA comrades. When Chris was planning on continuing the mission in Africa, Sheva tried to talk him out of it out of concern for his safety. However, after hearing that Chris was in Africa to not only complete the mission, but also because his old partner, Jill Valentine, who was thought to be dead is still alive and somewhere in Africa, Sheva resolved to continue the mission with Chris. Another instance about this loyalty is when Chris went missing in Edonia, she sent a message of concern to Piers Nivan to ask if she can be any help.

Powers and abilities

From a young age, she came to be trained in the use of a gun and had served as a child soldier when she was working with the guerrilla fighters that looked to topple the local government.
