McHenry, Anthony, Jr.
Anthony McHenry Jr. (1978 - 2000; 2002 - 2004) was the son of Anthony McHenry. With his father being a member of the founding members of SEMME, Tony wanted to follow in his father's footsteps from an early age. Even the tragic and horrible (and unrevealed) death of his mother did not dissuade him. A highly skilled fighter and leader- as well as the first abductee- he soon became leader of SEMME's Squadron 128.
In 1999, Tony led Squad 128 in rescuing Sal and Jason. He and Sal became lovers, but their relationship failed to keep Sal's problems from slowly consuming her. When Tony was turned into a mind-controlled slave of the Head Alien during Year Zero, Sal killed him to save Walky.
However, his father preserved Tony's body. When SEMME led an assault on the Martians' underwater city, Anthony Sr. brought his son's body along, hoping to use a Martian resurrection chamber to revive him. Although Anthony Sr. died during the attack, the city's machinery succeeded in resurrecting Tony. Unfortunately, the Head Alien got to him first, and reprogrammed his mind, using him to battle Sal. Tony was shocked back to himself thanks to Mike's taunting, only to discover that much had changed in the two years he was deceased.
Tony was eventually placed back in Squadron 128. When Jason left, Tony grew frustrated when leadership was passed to Walky instead of him. In addition, his learning that Walky and Sal were indirectly responsible for killing his father (Walky via dropping the chambers that crushed him, Sal by saving Dina instead of Anthony Sr.) didn't help. However, Tony eventually came to accept Walky's leadership ability, especially after learning that he still had the capability of sinking into a mindless rage when facing the Head Alien.
During the final battle with the Martians, Tony was mentally ensnared once again by the Head Alien-possessed Cheese. The Head Alien used Tony to attack Jason, but in the end, he broke free- just in time to save Jason, but not himself, from being crushed. Tony died, finally at peace.
