History
The Super-Skrulls were genetically augmented members of the Skrull race who were given multiple superpowers imprinted from multiple superpowered beings. (Fantastic Four v1 #2)
A Skrull warrior named Kl'rt came to be summoned by the Emperor Dorrek VII to take part in the Super-Skrull program. This was an effort to create a superpowered agent with the abilities of all the members of the Fantastic Four. With these powers, he was dispatched to Earth in order to defeat the band of heroes and conquer the planet. He proved to be more than a match for the Fantastic Four but ultimately failed in his mission. (Fantastic Four v1 #2)
In an effort to recover the Warskrull genetic strain, the scientist Granok began to study Mutant Skrulls. This led to improvements in the Super-Skrull process that allowed infiltrators to pass genetic testing and even telepathic examination. (X-Men v2 #95) This came to be perfect under the oversight of the newly elevated Head Priest of the Sciences Dro'ge who through the efforts of a cloned Reed Richards managed to uncover a way to make Super-Skrull infiltrators completely undetectable. (New Avengers v1 #44) Using science and magic they created Super-Skrulls that were imbued with the memories and powers of the subjects and could not be detected by technology, magic, telepathy, or various superhuman senses. (Secret Invasion v1 #1)
One of the test subjects for the Super-Skrull process was a member of their kind who lacked the ability to change his shape. Thus, Titannus came to be one of the experimental test subjects for the Super-Skrull project. This was responsible for giving him enhanced strength and a healing factor that would allow him to recover from any wound. However, upon gaining his abilities, he went on rampage that led to the destruction of cities and the crippling of people before he departed his world. (Marvel Team-Up v3 #12)
The planet's chief scientist and creator of the Super-Skrull knew his planet was doomed upon seeing Galactus. However, he devised a plan to ensure the safety of his newborn son. The scientist imbued his son with powers far greater than any previously seen in the Skrull race. The child was then placed inside a specially designed craft and set course for a new planet. Upon arrival the child would disguise itself as a native until it was deemed ready to conquer the planet. (Marvel Knights: Spider-Man v1 #16)
During the Secret Invasion, Super-Skrull infiltrators were deployed on Earth to help prepare the planet for conquest. Operatives were used to cripple both the world's defensive systems and its superhero population. (Secret Invasion v1 #1) A large force of Super-Skrulls were sent into Times Square where they battled various superheroes and managed to defeat their foes until the arrival of Nick Fury and his secret operatives. (Secret Invasion v1 #3) The Skrull invasion forces came to establish their Sci-Ops base of operations at NORAD in the Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado. After encountering Deadpool, they looked to add his genetic data into the genetic matrix for the next generation of Super-Skrulls. (Deadpool v4 #2)
Despite their defeat a Earth, the Super-Skrull program was continued with training sites located on worlds such as Tarnax VII. A Kree Star Brand came to use her newfound power to destroy the world. (Starbrand & Nightmask v1 #6)
Overview
In appearance, Super-Skrulls were specially engineered Skrull warriors that were given superhuman abilities that mimicked those from other superpowered beings. Typically, multiple superpowers were copied into a Super-Skrull allowing them to field multiple abilities in battle. (Fantastic Four v1 #2)
Initially, a Super-Skrull had the necessary energy beamed to them remotely from the distant Skrull homeworld. (Fantastic Four v1 #2) These came from power rays being beamed to him remotely that empowered the warrior indefinitely. Power intensity could be adjusted in order to make them stronger so long as the necessary energy was present. A special jammer though could be used to greatly weaken a Super-Skrull during this time. (Fantastic Four v1 #18)
Super-Skrulls in training were shown to be vulnerable to high decibel sonic attacks that could cause them to temporarily run amok with their power. (Runaways v2 #18)
A new process meant that Super-Skrulls were undetectable even to Mutant power sets, magic power sets and technology. Thus, it was impossible to determine if a person was a Skrull infiltrator. (Secret Invasion v1 #1)
Assignments can vary as sometimes they could be deployed as frontline shock troops. (Secret Invasion v1 #3) Power Skrulls were sometimes assigned to certain colonies. (U.S. Avengers v1 #12)
In some cases, Super-Skrulls were grown in a genesis matrix where they could be imprinted with new genetics and born within hours. (Deadpool v4 #2)
Originally, the Skrull empire's Infiltration Command headed the training of the Super-Skrulls which was based on the war-moon orbiting the homeworld. (X-Men v2 #90) Special training camps for Super-Skrulls were established on multiple Skrull worlds. (Starbrand & Nightmask v1 #6)

Alternate Versions
- In Squadron Supreme: New World Order v1 #1, Super-Skrulls appeared in the setting of the Squadron Supreme universe set in the reality designated as Earth-712 in the Multiverse. The process was created by the Skrulls during their long bitter millennia old struggle against their foes the Kree. During this time, the Skrulls developed a special genetics program designed to create an army of Super Skrulls that possessed amazing powers. However, the Devourer of Worlds Galactus consumed the Skrull homeworld before the program was fully put into effect. Sk'ym'x came to be the only Super Skrull to survive from the program. Piloting a damaged vessel, Sk'ym'x vowed to spend his life searching for others of his kind that might have survived the destruction of their planet. This search eventually led him to Earth but before he could land when his ship gave out and left him stranded near Earth's orbit with no way to escape or repair the damage.

- In Secret Invasion, Super-Skrulls appeared in the setting of the live-action television mini-series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The process to create them were developed by the Skrulls who took refuge on Earth after they were given sanctuary there following their attempts to flee from the Kree. Initially, Nick Fury had offered a few shelter on the planet but Talos came to call more who hid amongst the human population. However, years of being in hiding made many feel resentful at their human 'hosts' with extremists forming under a young Skrull named Gravik. He had scientists develop a procedure to replicate superpowers of other people thus leading to the development of Super-Skrulls with the intention of using them as soldiers against superhumans such as the Avengers.
