Biography
Origin
Traci Thirteen
After her mother's death, Traci was taken in by Ralph Dibny and his wife Sue Dibny who became parental figures to her. (Blue Beetle v7 #16)
Traci came to move to Metropolis when she encountered a badly wounded Superman who had been pierced in the chest with a magical spear. Using her magic, she tried to keep him alive but required further aid and summoned Lana Lang to aid her. They were then joined by Natasha Irons who Traci initially thought was the assassin but came to find out she was an ally. It was then that they were attacked by the Hungry Ghost who looked to continue her attack to eliminate the Man of Steel. During the fighting, Traci was forced to temporarily possess Superman to use his heat vision against their enemies but misjudged the strength of the beam that dealt a great deal of damage to the surrounding area. Luckly, Supergirl Cir-El arrived at the scene to evacuate civilians where she lent her aid to fight the Hungry Ghost and protect her 'father' Superman. (Action Comics v1 #807)
During the Day of Vengeance, the Spectre began a quest to destroy all magic after being convinced by Eclipso that all it did was bring ruin to the world. Traci Thirteen was among the many mystics that were gathered by the Shadowpact to help contain the after effects of the Spectre's attack that destroyed the Rock of Eternity. She used her urban magic to find the location of the scattered pieces of the Rock which had fallen in the city and shared this information with Zatanna. (Infinite Crisis Special: Day of Vengeance v1 #1)
Traci was annoyed by her father's skepticism and boring outlook until an investigation into a plane crash in the French Alps brought them up against the self-proclaimed Architects of the Universe, who sought to erase Terry from the universe, believing he no longer had a place in it. The Thirteens teamed up with other would-be victims of the Architects, destroying them and foiling their plans. (Tales of the Unexpected v2 #1)
She later went to assist the Posse when the Eclipso possessed Jean Loring attempted to steal a child to use as a new host body. During this time, she sought the help of the new Blue Beetle Jaime Reyes where they worked together to fight the supervillain. (Blue Beetle v8 #16)
She was approached by the Teen Titans as a potential member, but declined, feeling it would be too weird to be on the same team with her boyfriend. (Teen Titans v3 #66)
Post-Flashpoint
Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events. Traci Thirteen was the daughter of the witch and homo magi Meihui Lan and Doctor Terry Thirteen, a well-known ghost hunter and skeptic. The Thirteen family were depicted as being a family line of detectives and investigators who generally were irrationally skeptical of the supernatural.
Around this time Traci also started working at the Oblivion Bar for Detective Chimp where she met the second Justice League Dark, who she would aid from time to time. (Justice League Dark v2 #1)

Powers and abilities
She had the ability to see auras around a person allowing her to discern personality traits of a person. Traci was also able to use this magic to find a person by tracking their aura trail. Certain people were known to possess double auras which was an indicator that the person walked in two worlds. Such individuals were either special or suffered from schizophrenia. (Adventures of Superman v1 #611)
This was a special brand of magic where she drew knowledge and power from cities. (Infinite Crisis Special: Day of Vengeance v1 #1)
Her mother taught her a spell whereby she was able to shoot blasts of magical energy at a target. (Superman: The Man of Steel v1 #133) She knew spells that could help her fight against shadow pixies. Traci was also able possess another person temporarily and could use this power to use an unconscious team mates ability to help in a fight. (Action Comics v1 #807)
Traci can use her magic to create and control plants. (Superwoman v1 #5)
One of her weapons was the stolen Staff of Arion that she used in mystical battles. It allowed her to combat other magical spells and she used it to assist her in teleportation. (Blue Beetle v8 #16)
By her side was her pet iguana named Leroy where she could use to make him much larger so that he could help her in a fight. (Superman: The Man of Steel v1 #133)
Notes
- Traci Thirteen was created by Joe Kelly and Dwayne Turner where she made her first appearance in Action Comics v1 #189 (February, 2003).
- In 52 v1 #18 (2006), a character named Terri Thirteen who appeared as a member of the Croatoans though latter appearances showed Traci among their membership possibly indicating that Terri was a mistaken name.

Television
- In Young Justice, Traci Thurston appeared in the setting of the animated television series where she was voiced by actress Lauren Tom. She was shown as being a member of the Team who was in a relationship with Jaime Reyes. In the fourth season, Thurston became a student under Zatanna and joined her Sentinels of Magic, during which the group becomes Doctor Fate as part of a rotation agreement between Zatanna and Nabu.
Films
- In Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, Traci appeared in the animated film where she was voiced by actress Masasa Moyo. This version of the character was shown to work at a soup kitchen.
