Sektor was a male human born in the modern age in [[Earthrealm]] where he was the son of the Grand Master of the [[Lin Kuei]] clan of assassins. He was noted to had volunteered for the automation of the clan with him becoming one of the first three prototype cybernetic ninjas.

This caused a change in the timeline as Raiden sought to use the incomplete experiences of his future self to prevent that timeline from occurring. The son of the Lin Kuei Grandmaster grew to become a powerful assassin and warrior within the clan. It was shown that he was among those responsible for corruption [[Noob Saibot|Bi-Han]] who the elder Sub-Zero in the Lin Kuei clan. The Lin Kuei were then hired by Shang Tsung to participate in the Mortal Kombat Tournament on his island. Their assignment was to eliminate the competitors of Earthrealm before they had a chance of competing. Thus, he arrived on the island alongside the Cyrax and the elder Sub-Zero.
