History

The Nega-Bands were powerful weapons that were created by the advanced Kree civilization.

They came to be awarded to Mar-Vell by the Supreme Intelligence but the Kree Captain was banished into the Negative Zone. (Captain Marvel v1 #16) Meanwhile, on Earth, Rick Jones found a pair of Nega-Bands after he left the Avengers. With the bracelets, Jones was able to trade places with Captain Marvel in the Negative Zone. (Captain Marvel v1 #17)

After departing the Dark Avengers, Noh-Varr remained on the run from the forces of Norman Osborn and during this time he sought to contact this reality's version of the Supreme Intelligence. Upon successful contact, the Kree Supreme Intelligence declared that Noh-Varr would serve as the Protector of Earth and gifted him with a pair of newly forged Nega-Bands. (Dark Avengers Annual v1 #1) These bands deactivated when Noh-Varr betrayed the Kree after he decided to save Earth from the Phoenix Force. (Avengers v4 #27)
