Personality and attributes
As a young boy, he felt that he had a divine calling and that he had a part in significant events in history. (S.H.I.E.L.D. v1 #3)
According to him, numbers were his first prison that gave him order and structure with the certainty that they provided consuming him. It was this same certainty that became a prison for him but he came to desire not to be caged with the numbers eventually revealing to him the hidden world of magic. It was this path that led to him becoming Sorcerer Supreme but he came to feel that this role was also a prison for himself and wondered if there was anything truly free from being preordained. He came to believe that the 'Word of God' was powerful enough to set him free from fate. Newton believed that he could use them to make himself free to make his mark on the world and become God.
