Lawful evil is the moral alignment which signifies a belief in using order and the law to one's personal advantage, and to gain power over others. Despite their cruelty, a lawful evil individual is bound by their precise and most exact word (getting the right wording in an agreement with such a person is the trick, of course). Its antithesis is chaotic good.
