Biography
Leia Skywalker was the daughter of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala with her being the twin sister of Luke Skywalker. She was born in the closing days of the Clone Wars when her dying mother gave birth to her children on Polis Massa. To protect the new born children, it was decided to separate the twins with Leia being given to Bail Organa of Alderaan. After her adoption by Bail Organa, she came to be known as Leia Organa with no one aware of her true origin as she became a Princess of Alderaan.
This led to her abandoning the New Republic and becoming a leader in the Resistance.

In reality, her true name was Leia Skywalker due to her being the daughter of Anakin Skywalker. In the time of the First Order, she came too be known as General Organa due to her position in the Resistance.
