Zuul and Vinz Clortho stare at each other lustfully after finally reuniting

Zuul and Vinz Clortho were two loyal minions/pets of Gozer the Gozerian and are both otherworldly beings classified as Terror Dogs. They were hairless quadrupeds with powerful dark-tinted bodies and horns protruding out of the sides of their heads. Zuul was thought to be female because her horns were shorter and because she was called the Gatekeeper while Vinz Clortho was thought to be male due to his title of Keymaster and his longer, more prominent horns. Both hellhounds had tails, glowing red eyes, and large demonic claws. They were lion-sized and looked and acted like nothing more than mindless beasts, but they were actually very intelligent, with the ability to possess human hosts and perform human-like acts. However, while possessing human forms, they still showed characteristics of their animalistic nature, giving their hosts the ability to bark and roar horrendously and flare their eyes red similar to their eyes in their demonic dog form. During possession their human hosts were also given other supernatural abilities such as levitation and telekinesis.

Both Terror Dogs possessed two tenants of the Shandor Building, with Zuul possessing Dana Barrett and Vinz Clortho possessing Louis Tully respectively. They both went on eventful journeys until they finally found

each other in Dana’s destroyed apartment, engaging in a passionate kiss. They then walked up to the building’s rooftop and proceeded to have sex on a ceremonial altar in front of the doorway to Gozer's Temple as part of their satanic mating ritual. Afterwards both demons awoke in a trance-like state, basking in the hellish storm that had manifested above them. They slowly walked toward opposite pedestals once occupied by their statues. Zuul and Vinz stood atop their pedestals waiting anxiously for the right moment to bring their master into the world. Eventually both demons raised their arms to the sky and smiled, knowing that the time for the summoning of their master had finally arrived. Zuul and Vinz were then struck by two bolts of supernatural lightning coming from the top of the structure, which they redirected towards the gates of the Temple of Gozer. Their actions caused the gates to slowly grind open, revealing two pedestals, a staircase, and a translucent door. With the ritual almost complete, the lightning continued to strike the two demons, making them thrash wildly atop their pedestals while also making their humanoid skeletons light up. They both finally succumbed to the storm and got on all fours, instantly transforming into their dog-like demon forms while engulfed in large bolts of supernatural lightning, their skeletons lighting up once again to reveal their new demon dog bone structure. Zuul emerged from the storm, now in her true, beastly, hellhound form. She wagged her tail, opened her blood-red eyes, and stared at her body. Next to her, Vinz sat up with a snarl, also wagging his tail. He stared towards his mate before noticing the Ghostbusters, who had arrived just in time to witness the completion of their transformation. With the supernatural electricity escaping their dog-like bodies, Vinz barked in Zuul's direction. She turned toward the Ghostbusters, with her large red eyes ablaze then both demonic beasts roared menacingly at them from afar.

Strangely, they did not attack the Ghostbusters, as they only had one goal: to bring about the coming of their master. Afterwards, they proceeded to leap from their pedestals up to the temple and lied down on two opposite pedestals next to the temple doors. Their master, Gozer, manifested beside them. It appeared as the form of a young woman even though it was able to choose whatever form it wanted. Gozer walked towards Vinz and stroked his demonic head while they both purred demonically. Zuul watched longingly as Gozer was approaching her only to be interrupted by the Ghostbusters. The demon dogs witnessed the final battle between the Ghostbusters and their master, growling ferociously in approval as Gozer electrocuted the Ghostbubsters, but were eventually destroyed when the streams were crossed. When the smoke cleared, Dana and Louis emerged from their possessors burnt corpses, reverted back to humans.

As the demonic couple succumb to the lightning, Zuul stands on all fours like a dog while Vinz kneels.

As her transformation reaches its climax, Zuul turns to notice the Ghostbusters
Zuul and Vinz become dog-like, demonic beasts. Their skeletons glow, revealing the bone structure of the satanic Terror Dogs
Zuul opens her beaming red eyes for the first time as she wags her tail
Zuul stares at her dog-like body, basking in her transformation.
After noticing the Ghostbusters, the Terror Dogs bark and snarl at them ferociously
Zuul prepares to follow her mate up to her respective post
Zuul and Vinz, now in their dog forms, leap up to their respective pedestals
The dogs look to the shining temple gates as their master enters
Gozer approaches Vinz as Zuul looks on longingly
Gozer pets Vinz as both demons purr demonically. Zuul sits obediently as she waits for her turn.
