- Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball (Movies): 5 million years ago. Bibidi creates Majin Buu. They lead a reign of terror, devastating the universe, killing the West and North Supreme Kais, and absorbing the South Supreme Kai. Majin Buu attacks the East Supreme Kai, but the Grand Supreme Kai sacrifices himself to save him (and, secretly, hoped that his absorption into Buu would change him). When Bibidi next seals Buu within a solid sphere, the East Supreme Kai slays Bibidi and buries the sphere on an obscure planet- Earth. - Space Odyssey: 4 million years ago. A monolith teaches a group of Australopithecus to survive by using tools for hunting. (2001: A Space Odyssey)
- Transformers (U.S. Animated), Transformers (Japan), Transformers (Dreamwave): 4 million years ago. The resources on Cybertron (Seibertron) dried up due to the long-term war. An Autobot (Cybertron) space exploration team aboard the Ark led by Optimus Prime left. While Megatron led a crew of Decepticons (Destrons) aboard the Nemesis and chased the Ark. Both the Ark and Nemesis crashed on Earth. The Transformers enter a long period of stasis lock due to the impact. - Transformers (Marvel U.S.), Transformers (Marvel U.K.): 4 million years ago. The wandering planet Cybertron becomes too close to an asteroid belt, which will destroy it utterly; Optimus leads a team of the Autobots' finest in the Ark to clear the path of rocks. Following this, he intends to make peace gestures to the Decepticons who then attack in force and board the Ark, causing Optimus to crash the ship into Earth to end Megatron's threat.
