History
Tyrants were a series of Bio-Organic Weapons that were created by the Umbrella Corporation. Their origins were traced to the discovery of the Progenitor Virus in West Africa during the 1960's by Lord Ozwell E. Spencer, Dr. James Marcus and his student Brandon Bailey. They discovered that the virus had mutagenic properties allowing it to drastically alter both the mental and physical makeup of its host organism.
