+ | During his tour of duty, he was deployed to Vietnam where on a mission he came to be wounded and separated from his platoon. The weak and delirious Thompson wandered through the underbrush when he came upon a clearing where stood an ancient temple. Collapsing, he was saved by the monks of the sacred Hidden Temple where they came to tend to his injuries and nursed him back to health. Flash had never known such kindness before that moment and treasured this time. After being healed, he decided to return back to base and said his farewell to the people of the temple. After sometime, he managed to navigate through the jungle to return to base camp where a military campaign was ramping up. This saw U.S. forces looking to shell a position holding enemy forces that happened to be the location of the Hidden Temple. Thompson attempted to warn his superiors of the temple's existence and its peaceful inhabitants but they refused to believe him as the location did not appear on any official map. Instead, they believed he had simply imagined his encounter with the monks and looked to commence their operation. In desperation, Flash rushed back to the temple to evacuate its inhabitants but they refused to do so and were ultimately caught by artillery shells that destroyed the site. Thompson fell unconscious and later awoke to find himself back at base camp in the aftermath. The recent operation came to earn the ire of the Vietnamese people who held the Hidden Temple as a sacred site and believed the recent operation was a deliberate act of destruction. In addition, they thought that Flash was a scout sent to locate the temple in order for it to be destroyed. Thus, Thompson was a hated figure among the Vietnamese as they blamed him for the destruction of the temple. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #108)

+ | Though still recovering, Flash was asked by Peter to be the best man at his wedding. Thompson agreed where he organised an impromptu bachelor party at the Coffee Bean where he along with Harry helped talk Peter through some of his doubts. (Amazing Spider-Man Annual v1 #21)

+ | Following his service, he returned to civilian life and college where he was among the many friends who paid their respects with Peter at Gwen Stacy's funeral. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #123)

+ | As time passed, Flash struggled to find his place in his adult life, missing the feeling of importance he'd had as a high school football star, while his relationship with Sha Shan began to sour as she settled into the US and became more independent. (Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man v1 #91) Sha Shan would turn to Peter for help which Flash misconstrued as her having an affair thus deepening the rift between them. He began seeing Betty Brant who was estranged from her husband, Ned Leeds, rationalizing themselves as just two lonely people supporting each other. (Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man v1 #98) In retaliation, Ned decided to frame Flash as being the Hobgoblin. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #276) The Hobgoblin later attacked Flash while he was hiding out in Betty's apartment. Exhausted and despondent, Flash tried to turn himself in, and was nearly killed saving Spider-Man from one of the new Hobgoblin Macendale's bombs. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #288)

+ | He was in a Stryker I.C.V. with his unit in Mosul where they were sent on a Cordon-and-Search mission. Their vehicle was hit by an I.E.D. that upturned the Stryker where Flash managed to get the hatch open. The soldiers were then ambushed where the unit split up. Thompson and Santos were attacked where the latter was badly injured by an enemy combatant. Flash himself then was ambushed by multiple armed men who opened fire on him where some of the damage was mitigated by his body armor but he took multiple shots in his legs. He managed to fight them off but his injuries meant he could not effectively save Santos from being taken by the enemy. Thompson then used epinephrine on himself to give him the boost he needed to take Santos to the medivac. However, the tissue damage and blood loss meant that the medics could not save Thompson's legs which were amputated. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #574)

− | + | Thompson was sent to the Eastern European country Nrosvekistan to recover Dr. Ekmecic, a specialist in developing weapons made from Antarctic Vibranium. During his mission, he encountered the new Jack O'Lantern, who was also trying to recover Dr. Ekmecic for his boss, the new Crime-Master. Neither was able to take Ekmecic alive but the encounter made Venom and Jack O'Lantern long-time enemies. (Venom v2 #1) He was later sent to the Savage Land to destroy Crime-Master's Antarctic Vibranium shipment. Venom was attacked by Kraven the Hunter, who believed that the Spider's Shadow would be able to end his curse. Upon learning his opponent was handicapped, Kraven was outraged and attempted to kill Flash outright to assuage his honor, but was carried away by a swarm of giant bats. Flash was separated from the symbiote by the bats. (Venom v2 #2) However, the symbiote returned to Flash much to his surprise, assuring him that it won't abandon him and reminding him that they still have a mission to complete. Eventually, Venom took control of the helicopter containing the Vibranium shipment, but he was forced to deliver it to Crime-Master when Crime-Master used his knowledge of Venom's identity to hold Betty Brant, his long-time girlfriend, hostage. In return, Crime-Master told Venom where Betty was being kept, but Spider-Man, who was also trying to save Betty, mistook him for the enemy and the old foes fought. (Venom v2 #3) After their brief battle, they continued their search for Betty together, but as soon as Venom arrived at the warehouse where Betty was being kept, it blew up. Spidey left the destruction with Betty. Returning to Project Rebirth headquarters, he lied to his superior about Crime-Master discovering his identity to a moment when he lost control of the symbiote so that they wouldn't take it away from him. (Venom v2 #4) Back home, Flash learned that his father had cirrhosis of the liver and did not have much time to live. (Venom v2 #5)
− | Thompson was then deployed to target the source of the infestation which was the Spider Queen. Using the Symbiote's abilities, he crafted a disguise of the Spider-King and went to her claiming that he had completed his mission. Whilst infiltrating their base, he learnt from them that Eddie Brock as Anti-Venom had a cure for the spider-flu with Flash as the 'Spider-King' volunteering to kill him. However, in reality, he captured Brock and delivered him to Reed Richards so that his blood could be used as a cure for the epidemic. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #670) | + | Agent Venom was deployed during the spider epidemic in New York when random people began to develop Spider-Man-like abilities causing chaos in the city. During this time, the army unit enforcing the quarantine came under attack from a spider monster called the Spider-King with Project Rebirth deploying their operative to apprehend the threat. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #669) Thompson was then deployed to target the source of the infestation which was the Spider Queen. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #670) All of Manhattan later succumbed to a virus that gave New Yorkers spider-powers. Project Rebirth dispatched Venom to stop Spider-King from breaching the quarantine and infecting others. After defeating him and bringing Spider-King to headquarters, Venom was sent to infiltrate their enemies' headquarters. There, he learned that Anti-Venom was capable of curing infected New Yorkers and took him to Horizon Labs to synthesize a cure. Later on, Flash was able to visit his father in the hospital right before he passed away. (Venom v2 #6) Back in action, Venom tried to kill the Queen, the one responsible for the spider-power infestation, with help from Steve Rogers. (Venom v2 #7) Venom stabbed the Queen with Rogers' shield, but she mutated to a giant spider. Other heroes came to battle the Queen, but it was Kaine who struck the killing blow while Spider-Man distributed the cure around the city with the help of Doctor Octopus' Octobots. (Venom v2 #8) In the aftermath of the infestation, Venom battled the Hijacker, who exploited the confusion to commit a series of bank robberies while murdering several innocent civilians; Thompson killed the villain in a rage. (Venom v2 #9) Jack O'Lantern showed up at Flash's father's funeral and was taken to Crime-Master's headquarters. Now that he knows who Flash is he forced him to go on a mission for him in Las Vegas, threatening to kill Betty and his family if he did not comply. To make matters worse, Captain America shut down Project Rebirth and tried to confiscate the symbiote from Flash. He evaded him and left to complete his mission, with Jack O'Lantern tagging along. Meanwhile, Captain America sent Red Hulk to bring Venom in. (Venom v2 #10) Jack gave Flash instructions to enter a casino called The Devil's Den, where the Venom symbiote would do the rest. Totally controlled by his instincts, Venom broke into a secret lab in the casino, where the Toxin symbiote is contained. Venom tried to kill it, but Jack O'Lantern put it in a container and flew away with it. (Venom v2 #11) |

+ | Flash broke up with Betty so that she could be safe and started drinking again. Eventually, Red Hulk tracked Flash all the way to Las Vegas so that he could take the symbiote and bring him in for court-martial. (Venom v2 #12) In the midst of their fight, Blackheart created a portal that brought Hell to Earth, but Johnny Blaze stopped it from spreading past Las Vegas. Venom and Red Hulk fought alongside X-23 and the new Ghost Rider to defeat Blackheart. (Venom v2 #13) Along the way they fought their Antitheses, polar opposites of themselves created with a magic mirror, and died while trying to defeat them. (Venom v2 #13.1) Their dark pasts brought them to Hell, where Mephisto offered to return them to Earth if they agreed to help him at a later date. (Venom v2 #13.2) The four agreed and challenged Blackheart again. (Venom v2 #13.3) The symbiote briefly seized control of Flash in an attempt to seize the Spirit of Vengeance for itself, but was stopped by Blackheart. Venom and Ghost Rider surrendered their powers to Red Hulk, giving him the power to defeat Blackheart. (Venom v2 #13.4) Shortly after, Captain America and the Secret Avengers arrived to bring Venom in, but his heroic deeds convinced Steve Rogers to give him a chance and he welcomed him onto the team. Daimon meanwhile noticed that Flash, Red Hulk, and X-23 were marked with Hell-Marks, invisible pentagrams on their chests, indicating their pact with Mephisto. (Venom v2 #14) On the Lighthouse Station, the Symbiote was treated with a perfected neuro-inhibitor made by Beast that prevented Venom from taking over the mind of its host. This meant that Flash would be free to bond with it without fear of it taking him over. However, it was agreed the Symbiote would be kept at the station for safekeeping between missions. He would then be able to equip it remotely through a combination of Pym Particles and teleportation when in the field. In this time, Thompson met the Valkyrie Brunnhilde and became attracted to the Asgardians beauty. Returning back to civilian life, he met with Peter Parker, his family and Betty as Flash tried to keep his secret life from affecting them all. (Venom v2 #15)
+ | |||
+ | In the aftermath, Corporal Thompson joined the Secret Avengers team that he assembled and were being led by Hawkeye. Hank Pym meanwhile had developed a sedative to keep the Venom Symbiote passive for a period of 24 hours where it had to be placed back in its tank at the Lighthouse Station. Upon learning of Agent Venom, Hawkeye was furious with Steve Rogers and refused to have Venom on the team due to the Symbiote's previous hosts being supervillains. Thus, he benched Flash from the mission with Thompson forced to stay on the station whilst the rest of the team went to rescue the Ant-Man Eric O'Grady. (Secret Avengers v1 #23) Contact was lost with the team with Flash looking to investigate their disappearance. (Secret Avengers v1 #24) Arriving at their last known location in Pakistan, Agent Venom battled one of the Descendants who were robotic entities that served a figure called Father. He learnt that the team were fighting an entire city of such creatures in a place called the Core. Agent Venom came to rescue Valkyrie whilst the Secret Avengers rescued a captive child from Father before a giant explosion seemingly engulfed the underground city. However, the Human Torch was badly damaged and left in a comatose state as he attempted to recover whilst under the care of the team. (Secret Avengers v1 #25)
General Thunderbolt Ross later recruited Agent Venom into a new incarnation of the Thunderbolts. + | He soon returned to New York after he learned that the Crime Master had returned. He was surprised to learn that this was not Bennet Brant, but a whole new man under the mask. The new mob boss surrendered immediately after the firefight when Spider-Man arrived with his troops. Flash was happy to see his old hero, until Otto turned a flame thrower on him. He did not suspect anything about Spider-Man, as this was the first time that the webhead had seen Flash as Venom and all of his exploits with the Avengers had been top secret. He did show his face after being defeated by sonic webbing, but Otto didn't know or care who Flash Thompson was. (Superior Spider-Man v1 #22) Thompson escaped with the help of some gas bombs but went back into the frying pan when he went to 'Peter's' apartment to hide out. There, Otto convinced him that he could build robotic legs for Flash to walk again and took him to Parker Industries to prove it. With the help of Dr. Elias Wirtham, Spider-Man did a diagnostic scan of Flash with a sonic scanner. This sent the alien crazy and it separated from Flash, only to bond to Spider-Man. (Superior Spider-Man v1 #23) Spider-Man left with the alien and Dr. Sajani tended to Elias and Flash. She gave him bad news: he had been bonded to the symbiote for so long that his body needed it to survive. (Superior Spider-Man v1 #24)

− | Despite losing the Symbiote, Flash continued his search for it and kept in regular contact with Mania about the matter. He intended to re-bond with Venom and continue serving as a superhero as he did before. During this time, he saw Mania being attacked and her fragment of the Symbiote being taken from her. Thompson later went to New York to meet with Peter Parker to ask for his help in meeting Spider-Man to help him recover the Venom Symbiote but decided to do it alone when he came to believe that the hero would destroy it. He tracked it to Eddie Brock who was at Alchemax and broke into the facility's laboratory to confront him. Flash attempted to call to the Symbiote to re-bond with him with Venom being torn between Thompson and Brock where it enveloped both of them. Spider-Man attempted to save the pair and threw a large sample of astrbiological serum believing it would kill Venom whilst leaving the hosts intact. However, the chemicals instead transformed Flash into the new Anti-Venom with a host of new powers. (Amazing Spider-Man: Venom Inc. However, the chemicals instead transformed Flash into the new Anti-Venom with a host of new powers. (Amazing Spider-Man: Venom Inc. Alpha v1 #1) Flash was able to use the Anti-Venom symbiote to completely remove the Venom symbiote from Eddie, but could not bond with it himself. Leaving the symbiote at Bobbi Morse's apartment for safekeeping, Anti-Venom and Spider-Man set out to track down the Mania symbiote and traced it to Black Cat's hideout, where they discovered Felicia's gang had been infected with the symbiote by its new host, Maniac. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #792) In the resultant fight, Spider-Man and Anti-Venom were defeated. (Venom v1 #192) Maniac then tried to burn Flash and his symbiote alive. They were rescued by Andi, who was using the powers derived from the Hell-Mark to keep fighting without her symbiote. Anti-Venom and Andi then tracked down Spider-Man, who had fallen under Maniac's control, and tried to free him. They were assisted by Black Cat and Eddie Brock, who had merged back with the Venom symbiote after it escaped Morse's apartment. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #793) The heroes then followed Maniac to a gathering of the five biggest crime families in the world, where he had used his symbiote to take control of all attendees. Using weaponry coated in Alchemax's Anti-Venom serum and Flash's own symbiote, the heroes freed those under Maniac's control, prompting him to have the remains of the symbiote return to him to make him stronger. (Venom v1 #160) Maniac initially overpowered the heroes until Black Cat noticed those freed from his control by Anti-Venom developed an immunity to him. Spider-Man had Flash's symbiote absorb a sample of his blood to absorb its 'Anti-Maniac' properties, giving Flash the boost necessary to strike Maniac down and neutralize him. With Maniac defeated, Flash called his contacts from the government to take him away. Before they disbanded their alliance, Anti-Venom gave Brock his blessing to keep the symbiote, arguing he displayed his heroism when fighting Maniac. (Amazing Spider-Man: Venom Inc. Omega v1 #1) |

+ | Liz Allen showed that she was aware of Flash's alternate identity due to having access to the security footage which she erased to maintain his secret. She would ask for his help in providing security to an Alchemax test site that was making use of Tritium as a power source. + | Though exhausted, he stayed with the other heroes as they were transported to the hospital where he ensured that they were healed and that their secret identities were maintained. During this time, he discovered that the Red Goblin had infected all those wounded by him with Symbiote matter where he intended to trigger these tendrils at a later point in the brain of the people to kill them at a time of his choosing. After learning that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, Flash went to all those wounded by Norman Osborn to remove the Red Goblin matter in them. He then went to Alchemax to help Spider-Man against the Red Goblin with Norman becoming furious after learning his plan to kill Parker's loved ones was thwarted. This saw him fatally wounded Flash with Spider-Man managing to knock the Red Goblin away. In his final moments, Flash thanked Peter whereupon he died in his arms with a funeral held for him after Norman was defeated. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #800)

+ | A codex fragment of Thompson was later encountered by Eddie Brock during the Symbiote God Knull's invasio of Earth. After being badly injured, Brock found himself within the hive mind of the Symbiotes where he encountered personality fragments of Rex Strickland and Flash Thompson. The two worked with him in travelling into the central god hive where they found Symbiotes that were separated from Knull's control but kept contained. Flash then as Agent Anti-Venom worked to free them where he had his codex merge with them to form a dragon to disrupt the hive. (Venom v4 #33)
− | + | Restored to life, Thompson decided to wander the streets alone and not inform people about his resurrection as he feared the harm it would bring to their lives. At a coffee shop, he came to witness the person on the counter being killed by a sniper with Flash thinking that the attacker was targeting him. He then confronted a pair of Guardsmen who claimed that they were targeting aliens on the planet which had suffered from a plethora of Symbiotes after the recent invasion. In fact, the server at the coffee shop was a host to a Symbiote and was not dead where he was actually still alive. Thompson then manifested his own powers and used them to knock the Guardsmen unconscious as he decided on his next course of action. (Venom v4 #35)

Biography
Origin
Eugene Thompson
He also had a younger sister by the name of Jessie Thompson. (The Spectacular Spider-Man v1 #249) Their father was a drunk police man who regularly beat his children when he was at home. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #574)
He came to be a student at Midtown High School where he was a classmate of Peter Parker who he used to regularly bully. (Amazing Fantasy v1 #15)
At one point, Flash attempted to pull a trick on Parker by dressing up in a Spider-Man costume and looked to frighten him. However, before he could reach Parker, he came to be abducted by Doctor Doom who mistook the youth for the real Spider-Man. He later came to be saved by the genuine Spider-Man who helped take Flash back home. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #5)
After graduating from high school, he came to enrol at Empire State University on an athletic scholarship where once again he came to be classmates with Parker. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #28) Once again, he continued his rivalry with Peter and even was responsible for turning their new class fellows Harry Osborn and Gwen Stacy against Parker. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #31)
It was later that he applied to the U.S. Army to be a soldier where his friends at school had a big party arranged for his send-off. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #47)
Military
During his tour of duty, he was deployed to Vietnam where on a mission he came to be wounded and separated from his platoon.
Though still recovering, Flash was asked by Peter to be the best man at his wedding. Thompson agreed where he organised an impromptu bachelor party at the Coffee Bean where he along with Harry helped talk Peter through some of his doubts. (Amazing Spider-Man Annual v1 #21)
Following his service, he returned to civilian life and college where he was among the many friends who paid their respects with Peter at Gwen Stacy's funeral. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #123)
As time passed, Flash struggled to find his place in his adult life, missing the feeling of importance he'd had as a high school football star, while his relationship with Sha Shan began to sour as she settled into the US and became more independent.
Corporal Thompson was among the inactive reserves that were called to serve in the Iraq War. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #574)
He was in a Stryker I.C.V. with his unit in Mosul where they were sent on a Cordon-and-Search mission.
Agent Venom
Thompson later came to be enlisted to take part in the secret Project Rebirth 2.0 program that saw him being bonded to the Venom Symbiote. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #654)
He was deployed to Madripoor to plant a tracker on an U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M. member and rescued businessman Sheikh Kassim. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #654.1)
Thompson was sent to the Eastern European country Nrosvekistan to recover Dr.
Agent Venom was deployed during the spider epidemic in New York when random people began to develop Spider-Man-like abilities causing chaos in the city. (Venom v2 #11)
Flash broke up with Betty so that she could be safe and started drinking again.
In the aftermath, Corporal Thompson joined the Secret Avengers team that he assembled and were being led by Hawkeye.
(Thunderbolts v2 #1)
He soon returned to New York after he learned that the Crime Master had returned.
Space Knight
The Avengers later looked to maintain their connection to the Guardians of the Galaxy and placed Agent Venom on the team as their new envoy. (Guardians of the Galaxy v3 #14)
In this role, he operated as an Agent of the Cosmos who sought to help the innocent. (Venom: Space Knight v1 #1)
He later returned to Earth when Captain Marvel requested the Guardians of the Galaxy's aid against Iron Man during the second superhuman Civil War. (Civil War II v1 #4)
Anti-Venom
Despite losing the Symbiote, Flash continued his search for it and kept in regular contact with Mania about the matter. Omega v1 #1)
Liz Allen showed that she was aware of Flash's alternate identity due to having access to the security footage which she erased to maintain his secret. She would ask for his help in providing security to an Alchemax test site that was making use of Tritium as a power source. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #796) Maniac then tried to burn Flash and his symbiote alive. They were rescued by Andi, who was using the powers derived from the Hell-Mark to keep fighting without her symbiote. Anti-Venom and Andi then tracked down Spider-Man, who had fallen under Maniac's control, and tried to free him. They were assisted by Black Cat and Eddie Brock, who had merged back with the Venom symbiote after it escaped Morse's apartment
Though exhausted, he stayed with the other heroes as they were transported to the hospital where he ensured that they were healed and that their secret identities were maintained.
A codex fragment of Thompson was later encountered by Eddie Brock during the Symbiote God Knull's invasio of Earth.
Restored to life, Thompson decided to wander the streets alone and not inform people about his resurrection as he feared the harm it would bring to their lives.
Overview
Personality and attributes
He earned the nickname Flash secretly due to climaxing quickly when he slept with his girlfriend but would claim he got it from his time in high school football. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #574) After bonding with the Venom Symbiote, he came to be known as Agent Venom from his time with Project Rebirth 2.0. (Venom v2 #1) He later came to be the new Anti-Venom after gaining the powers of the artificial Symbiote. (Amazing Spider-Man: Venom Inc. Alpha v1 #1)
Peter Parker believed that Flash had the traits to be a great soldier. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #47) He had volunteered where he had served several tours of duty. Flash was said to had served with distinction to the point that he was recommended to receive a Medal of Honor. Thompson had said though that he did not need a medal to know to do the right thing. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #574)
It was noted that his father was a police man. (Untold Tales of Spider-Man v1 #19) He was said to had been an abusive drunk. (The Spectacular Spider-Man v1 #249)
He was known to have had a younger sister by the name of Jessie Thompson who had long dark hair. Initially, she began to struggle with alcohol but after seeing what it had done to her father she went into A.A. to straight herself out. She later came to get a job as a gym instructor where she taught 13 year olds. (The Spectacular Spider-Man v1 #249)
Flash was a big fan of superheroes and found the likes of the Human Torch and Spider-Man to be real heroes. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #3) It was argued that he was Spider-Man's biggest fan. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #47) During high school, he opened a Spider-Man Fan Club that was the first of only three in the whole U.S. To Flash, Spider-Man was a misunderstood hero that nobody appreciated but that he still did his heroic deeds no matter what happened to him. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #574)
Powers and abilities
Originally, Flash Thompson was an ordinary human being with no inherent special powers or abilities. (Amazing Fantasy v1 #15)
After participating with Project Rebirth 2.0, he came to gain superhuman abilities after bonding to the Venom Symbiote. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #654)
Upon becoming Anti-Venom, he retained the ability to be undetected by Spider-Man's Spider-Sense. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #793) The substance allowed him a range of shapechanging abilities such as the power to stretch his limbs to great distances or form blades composed of his costume. The material that formed his costume also had the ability to heal any wound. (Amazing Spider-Man: Venom Inc. Omega v1 #1) This included injuries and he was even shown to help reattach severed limbs by binding it through the substance of his costume. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #796)
Notes
- Flash Thompson was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko where he made his first appearance in Amazing Fantasy v1 #15 (August, 1962).
- At Marvel's 'Next Big Thing' press conference, writer Rick Remender commented on Thompson being the new Venom, ""What he's got is advanced technology, he's got the armed forces behind him, but it's just straight-up U.S. armed forces." He also noted that Flash was a "true patriot" but "one with a temper" with him suffering moments where he could start killing indiscriminately. He also noted the comic would explore, "The hard resolutions, the murdering that he might have to do, will come at moments you completely don't expect it-unless he loses control."

This saw him quit school and dedicate his life in being Spider-Man where he was hailed a hero by J. Jonah Jameson though Flash came to see himself better than other people. Peter Parker later discovered that he was Spider-Man and wanted his help to recover a rare isotope that could cure his Aunt May of a rare form of cancer. However, Thompson resented Parker as he believed he was jealous of Flash and had turned the public against him.
